green design? hmm

from thought 2008/03/06 17:35

all righty.

sustainability, green design.. these guys look so cool.

sometimes i am sick of seeing people proudly making a noise

(talking about green design even though they never know what it is)

to be proving their intelligent and precious existence value.

i just wanna see their everyday life; somewhat impossibly coexistable ideal world in their real world.

few days ago, i read an article about SUN open-eco.org.. and suddenly it made me crazy.

(sorry any people related to the sun corp, but i don't have any personal bad feeling toward your products!)

the sentence making me sick... was here.

' Sun is greening its own operations through programs like Open Work,

which saves our environment 30,000 metric tons of CO2 a year

by allowing employees to work from home or in a flexible office.'

what???

how are they related btw saving CO2 and WFH??

do you mean reducing co2 emission from car commuting?

don't quibble with it, you are sadly blinded to the true value.

so, i feel totally lose any desire EVEN to click the corporate link for more information.

leaving off this stupid topic, my real question is..

'how can we contribute or realize the green design in the level of application industry?'

we are floating in the material world and what kinds of sustainability issues

(not like working for home..plz) can be coming up to the non-material world?

well.. it will be my question and the question to be answered by myself.

it will take time to figure it up so don't feel pushed or hurried into the answer,

since there is no CORRECT answer.

the spiritual way to motivate people?

meditation?

vegan?

i am really not sure these, actually getting down on even mentioning about these.

in the software industry, there are quite several widgets enforcing people to change their life-style

and persuading them to reduce energy and save your money.

'life-style manager' can really motivate people?

maybe, but not for me.

hmm... story is getting negative.

long story short;

if you r still using disposable plastic box or paper cup everyday n throw away these w/o any concern or thought

just shut up, keep quite and never say anything green design, PLEASE.
